Job Title: Warehouse & Procurement Coordinator

Location: Lee Hill Office, Boulder CO

Division/Department: Operation/ Installation

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Warehouse & Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment. He or she must maintain or establish beneficial relationships with suppliers, collaborate with team members to ensure timely arrival of materials and adequate inventory.

The Warehouse & Procurement Coordinator is also responsible for supervising the warehouse. He/She handles all receiving, storage, organization, and preparation of materials, and will have some accounting responsibilities. He/She works as a member of the operations team and reports to the Operation Manager.

The Warehouse & Procurement Coordinator should be detail-oriented, well organized, possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work as a part of a team.

Essential Functions

Procurement

• Source and price-shop project materials, tools, and equipment; maintain or establish beneficial relationships with suppliers; negotiate terms and discounts
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop and process bills of materials for individual upcoming jobs
• Collaborate with project management to schedule timely arrival of materials for upcoming projects and to ensure adequate inventory of stocked items
• Place all purchase orders and follow up with vendor; coordinate incoming shipments; manage shipping schedule spreadsheet
• Verify receipt of shipments and to control inventory; supervise physical inventories
• Develop and implement procedures for verification of shipments received and inventory control measures
• Create purchase orders in QuickBooks and coordinate with Accounting to close Purchase Orders for billing
• Develop and implement procedures for centralized purchasing for multiple company branches
• Create purchasing forecasts

Warehouse

• Develop and implement an inventory management and tracking system
• Receiving: Unload, unpack, organize, store, and label all incoming shipments; operate a forklift, hand-truck, and dolly
• Verification: Verify receipt of all materials per purchase order; report discrepancies to the Procurement Specialist; record receipt of shipment and serial numbers in Excel spreadsheet
• Warehouse Organization: Maintain functional organization of materials in the warehouse; maintain the proper location of tools and supplies, maintain general cleanliness
• Materials Preparation: Prepare all materials for installation (cut and bundle rails, pre-assemble hardware, count hardware, prepare all job materials for pickup by installation crews); collaborate with installers and electricians to develop best practices for preparation and organization of materials
• Inventory Control: Counting and recording of physical inventories
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all equipment used in the warehouse including forklift, band-saw, hand-truck, power tools, and hand tools

Qualifications

Requirements: Ability to operate a forklift, valid drivers license, driving trucks, lifting up to 50lbs

Programs: Familiarity with the following programs will be beneficial: Service Fusion, SalesForce, QuickBooks, Trello, Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, SunPower Portal, Internet, and E-mail Usage

Beneficial Experience: Residential and commercial solar installation, construction background, mechanical work, equipment maintenance, electrical knowledge, inventory tracking, forklift operation, purchasing, receiving, inventory tracking, bookkeeping

 

Other Information

• Full-time: 7am-4pm Monday-Friday
