Independent Power installed a 2.45 kW commercial solar power system on the roof of the Billings Food Bank in Billings, Montana.
A SOLAR-POWERED FOOD BANK FOR BILLINGS
When the Billings Food Bank moved into their new building, they wanted to demonstrate their commitment to a sustainable community. They invested in a 2.45 kW system comprised of fourteen 175 W BP solar panels and a Fronius 2500 W solar inverter. The panels are mounted onto a Unirac SolarMount railing. The Billings Food Bank solar panels were installed thanks in part to a local renewable energy grant in Montana. Independent Power has installed solar panels on several Montana food banks, including the Butte Food Bank, Great Falls Food Bank, Missoula Food Bank, Helena Food Bank, and Havre Food Bank.
