Trojan Storage
Colorado Spring Self-Storage Business
Independent Power was commissioned to design and install a 41.50 kW commercial solar array on the roof of one of the self-storage buildings at Trojan Storage in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This system consists of 166 Kyocera 250 W solar modules mounted using an EcoFoot 2 ballasted roof mount and three Fronius 11.1 TL grid-tie string inverters. The solar panels are estimated to produce 61,283 kWh annually, completely offsetting the facilities energy consumption. The Trojan Storage solar panels are expected to pay for themselves within six years thanks to the energy savings and generous commercial solar incentives such as the Federal Investment Tax Credit and MACRS depreciation.
